Purulia Digital Lab Inauguration – Empowering Rural Communities Through Technology

A Digital Beginning. A Lifetime of Possibilities.

In the heart of rural Purulia, a quiet yet transformative journey has begun. Aahan Foundation is proud to fully fund the Digital Lab Initiative—an effort to bring accessible digital education and opportunities to young students and women from rural and marginalized communities. Implemented by Loka Mata Rani Rashmoni Mission and supported by Kzarvani Foundation as the Knowledge Partner, this initiative reflects Aahan Foundation's commitment to empowering lives through education, technology, and equal opportunity.

On June 7, 2026, the Digital Lab was formally inaugurated in the presence of Shri Sunil Chandra Mahato, respected teacher of Jilinglahar High School Higher Secondary, and Shri Haripada Mahato, Head Teacher of Shri Shri Gyan Mandir, along with local representatives and community members.

What makes this initiative even more meaningful is that the Digital Lab will not only serve school-going children but also their young mothers. Many of these resilient women were married at an early age due to social and economic challenges, leaving behind opportunities for education and independence. Through digital literacy and modern technology, they will now have the opportunity to develop valuable skills, access better employment opportunities, achieve financial independence, and rebuild confidence in their own potential.

This is more than a Digital Lab. It is the beginning of transformation—where education meets empowerment, technology creates opportunity, and every first click opens the door to a brighter future.
