Project Ignite

Project Ignite is the flagship initiative of Ahaan Foundation, designed to empower individuals to break barriers and achieve self-sufficiency. Through structured mentorship and by equipping participants with essential tools and skills, Project Ignite aims to kindle a passion for growth and transformation across communities.

Goals

The primary goal is to provide guidance and resources across three key demographics to foster skills development and pathways to empowerment.

  1. Children (Ages 6–12)

The focus here is on foundational cognitive and communication skill development.

  • Communication Skills: Improve the communication abilities of at least 20 individuals.
  • Logical Thinking & Reasoning: Encourage logical thinking and reasoning in 50 children via the Bal Ahaan Nilaya program (in-home group sessions).
  1. Young Adults (Ages 12–20)

The focus is on employment readiness and holistic development.

  • Employment-Related Skills: Teach and empower participants with practical skills essential for employment.
  • Mentorship Program: Build and upskill participants through a structured mentorship program.
  1. Adults (Ages 18+)

The focus is on professional development and career advancement.

  • Mentorship Program: Implement the structured mentorship program outlined above.
  • Continuing Education: Offer funded and guided continuing education opportunities.

Approach

Mentorship Program Strategy

The mentorship strategy is built on flexibility and defined targets:

  • Target Areas: Identify and focus on specific geographies in the US and India or any other identified region.
  • Delivery Model: Combine one-on-one mentoring with group sessions to build a strong community.
  • Meeting Modes: Utilize flexible meeting modes: in-person, virtual, and hybrid.
  • Incentives: Provide recognition and motivation through certificates, program highlights, and small stipends for participation.
