Project Soar
Project Soar is a flagship initiative by Aahan Foundation aimed at empowering underprivileged communities through access to quality education. The project envisions a future where every child, regardless of socio-economic background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter tomorrow. By providing educational resources, mentorship, and skill-based learning, Soar seeks to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.
Goals
- To enable equitable access to education for children and youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- To enhance learning outcomes through community-based programs and digital literacy initiatives.
- To foster lifelong learning and self-reliance through skill development and mentorship support.
Objectives
- Support 100+ students annually through structured learning programs and scholarships.
- Establish digital learning hubs in key rural and urban underserved areas to provide a safe and inspiring space for education.
- Deploy volunteer educators and mentors to facilitate academic and emotional support.
Approach
Soar adopts a community-driven and partnership-based approach.
- Collaborate with local schools, NGOs, and community leaders to identify beneficiaries.
- Measure progress through baseline assessments, periodic evaluations, and feedback from students and parents.
- Encourage volunteer participation and corporate partnerships for sustainability and scalability.
Funding
- Project Disha will be funded from Aahan Foundation’s main stream account
- An initial allocation of 15% will be made to begin with. This will be adjusted across different beneficiaries as appropriate
