Dr. Dimple P. Dutta

Dr. Dimple P. Dutta is a distinguished Senior Scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, India, and is renowned for her contributions to materials science and energy research. With a career marked by scientific rigor, innovation, and leadership, she has been at the forefront of advanced research in functional materials and nanotechnology for sustainable energy applications. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and recipient of the Materials Research Society of India Medal (2023), she is also deeply committed to mentorship and science outreach, inspiring young researchers and women in STEM. With over two decades of scientific leadership, she has contributed to the design of novel nanomaterials, patented eco-friendly energy solutions, authored numerous research publications in international journals and has been listed in the world’s top 2 percent of the most-cited scientists by Stanford University.
